A basic cowl.......
This cowl is made in rounds using a half treble crochet followed by one chain all the way round, with the next row being worked in the chain spaces from the previous round:
The basic stitch really shows off the pattern in this wool-bamboo mix yarn.
The ides for this came from here:

A winter cowl......
This cowl uses the corner to corner stitch and some fabulous silk - merino wool in a lovely grey/purple colour:
I'm looking forward to it getting cold enough to wear it!

Wagon wheel.....
Today's square uses a combination of double and double treble stitches in rounds plus chains and trebles for the wheel effect:
I'm hoping that joining it to other squares will make it a bit squarer itself!

The Big Knit (or crochet!).....
Today I have been using up scraps of wool making these cool mini hats for the Innocent Big Knit:
I also got my bobble rings out for the cute bobbles on each of them. Just got to get them in the post now!

Simple cross......
My busy weekend is coming to an end, and it's time to settle down in front of the 'Strictly' results show with my crochet hook. A basic square with a raised cross created by working a front post double treble crochet round the central stitch on each side of the previous round:

Busy busy......
As I have a very busy weekend ahead I thought I'd better get today's square made and my blog post completed before my friends arrive...
So this morning I completed a pretty in pink square, again it was made up as I went along using a combination of double, treble and double treble stitches:
