An open granny square.....

A very long day in work has meant I needed a very simple square for today, the open granny square fits the bill - easy, uncomplicated and pretty quick to make:

This involved working pairs of treble crochets separated by pairs of chains (4 chains on the corners), I have finished it with a round of double crochets to neaten the edge.
