Chevrons......

Today's square is a test piece for a cardigan I plan to make - I just need to find some rowan cashsoft dk in black in order to do so.

It is a nice simple pattern that creates the effect I was looking for.

Pattern:
Create a foundation chain, this must be a multiple of 10 plus 2 extra stitches.
Treble crochet in the 3rd chain from the hook, work 3tc in the next 3 chains, skip 2 chains, *work 4tc in the next 4 chains, chain 2, work 4tc in the next 4 chains, skip 2 chains, repeat from * across the foundation chain, in the last chain work 2tc.
Chain 3, *work 4tc in the next 4 stitches, skip 2 chains, work 4tc in the next 4 stitches, chain 2, repeat from * across row, in the last stitch work 2tc.
NB - on each row the chain space and the skipped stitches are positioned in the same place, in each two chain space work 1tc 2chains 1tc (these are included in the sets of 4tc described above).
