Stripes......

A simple square worked in rows of double crochets, with a couple of stripes:

This square started with a foundation chain of 26, the first of which was skipped and then 25 double crochets were worked. At the end of the row a single chain was worked to enable turning. This was repeated until square, with 3 rows worked in different colours (2 white and 1 dark purple) towards the top of the square.
